I took a resolution that I won’t write negative words for CTG. First of all, there is a state of emergency in state.Though journalism ( I guess same time blog writing too) is out of this state to some extent, but there’s a thin line between can do and can’t do as declared by Govt. , So, I wanted to play safe. Another important reasons behind this is my bad reputation for being negative all the time. People around say me all time that, I like to think negative. So this time I thought, I wouldn’t do anything. Let the time say the epic. No more speculation or else. So, this is the first blog of mine, criticizing interim government.

Why everybody were so cheerful, delightful after 1/11 ? Everybody thought this is end of something. May be we are just entering a period of infinite progress. A period, when every decision will be taken ensuring the well fare of public. Very few people then speculated that, this hope’s not gonna work. But no one gave them much importance rather criticized them for being negative and typically political. But what’s the present scenario ?

Today, I was watching News channel in TV and saw some clash between police and labors of Amin Jute Mil, Chittagong. They (labor) demanded salary of 2 weeks while authority were inclined to give them salary of 1 week.Point to be noted that, their salary for 12 weeks are due. So they protested and made some chaos. Police fired tear gas and charged batons to disperse them. At least one is dead and more than 100 is injured.

Now take a deeper look at the incidents. Interim Government took the charge and declared “Zihad” for saving jute industries. As a sign of “zihad” they shutdown 4 jute industries. If you looked at newspaper, you might know that, it needs a few times money to close the juteA land of Hopes or a land for beggars ? mills than bring back it to active state. Yes, we are in Zihad indeed, just not sure for which party we are fighting !! Another mock was made by an adviser Geeti Ara Safia, who claimed that nothing would happened to the workers in case of late payment since they have got the Blessing from ALLAH. One simple request to them, please don’t mock at us. If u people can’t solve the problem, just stay quiet. No need to make such “Altafian” funs.

Yes you can kill 1 labor and beat another hundreds since they were braking the rules, the rule of mighty state of emergency. You have the right. But do you go to the local market regularly ? Do you see the price jumping ? Its getting harder day by day to live comfortably for middle class people. So think about the lower class people who works in a jute mil and weren’t paid for months.

We are beggars. A nation of beggars. We can’t run out nation until we got help from the UN, IMF, ADB etc etc. And we neither want to. All govt.s, AL, BNP, Army people all were so good at begging. After 1/11, I thought situations gonna change. We won’t walk on the line showed by the IMF/ADB peoples. But alas, it’s completely wrong. We are walking more easily and straightly on that line. Now I can see that, as an elected govt, previous BNP AL didn’t dare to take such a mammoth decision of closing 4 jute mills. Frankly speaking, I wouldn’t wonder if they took some decision. But they thought about their chance of getting elected next time and also thought of the opposition parties. But interim govt. is so tensionless. They neither have the risk of being elected again and nor have the risk of opposition since it’s state of emergency and they are pressurizing the political parties. What I can see Bangladesh is eventually gonna lose all the jute mills, lose a huge amount revenue and it will no longer be our Golden Fibre.

Do you know about the Jute market of India ? Interesting. I was reading some articles a few days back, about the World Jute market. And India is replacing Bangladesh gradually. Why not ! We are closing and they are opening. They are getting all the jutes of Bangladesh. We just love to just shout on seminars about the industrial growth of Bangladesh. And in real time, we are just closing all the industries which can bring us most revenue. ADB , IMF etc are giving us more money than political period since they are happy in Govt. Progress. Why not ? Govt. is just taking the medicine according to WB/ IMF/ ADB prescription. More foreign money will come I hope. We need this, because since we are closing all industries, begging is the only thing left we can do.

I have given up all hopes about jute and frankly speaking worrying about the coal. I have read many articles about national coal policy. It’s too hazy. No one ( normal public) knows anything about this. This govt is just walking on the same road as previous govt.s did. May be one fine morning we will hear that, all coals of our country is the property of Asia energy. I won’t be shocked, really !!

Its all right that they are capturing the “fake plastic superheroes” of politics. But there are more important things than politics. They are not the elected people by govt ( though they have the people support, but its not proven election), they don’t have enough member in their committee to discuss. Why they need to take such critical decision ?

Lets say, they want the welfare of country, of us. How could they justify the closure ? Putting thousands of people work less, home less and throwing a prospective industry to darkness, what they can prove ? It’s true industries were running on loss due to the previous governments. But it takes less money to run the industries properly than shutting it down. They could run it again, and monitor properly this time. do they cut their head down when they have headache? I’m not sure.

I want to be optimistic. I hope interim govt will do the works properly and on priority base. They should remember, food and shelter is the foremost basic need. Politics is not. If they fail to secure people on this two point, they will face a severe situation. Doesn’t matter whatever charisma they are showing us in political field !

Already all of you know that , Tareque Rahman has been arrested. Frankly Speaking , I can hardly remember when I saw last time cent per cent people happy after hearing a political arrest news. And I am 100% sure , BNP and current AL didn’t have much difference. At least before 2001. Though AL is much more liberal as per their rules, But their leaders are not follower of their rules. Only a few days ago we saw some example regarding “Fatwa Agreement” . Anyway , back to the point. From 2001 , Tareque Rahman and other leaders set some sort of ill political manners , which was very much alarming.
And only Tareque Rahman helped BNP to reach such an altitude in corruption that , it was hard for any political party to break.
Now , the burning Question is , What is the Future of politics ? In proper term , I can hardly see any future of politics. I guess 1% of current politicians would hardly survive from Anti Corruption group. Then what would be our political state ? Democracy , for which we sacrificed a lot , is in front of a huge question mark. As I told in other writings I don’t trust “everybody” in politics , whether he is newcomer or not. Its the most established truth of the country that political parties stink and they did all the works to put Bangladesh in trouble. But with a deeper a thought , you would agree with me , that we have huge numbers ( in fact some 95%-98%) of AL and BNP supporters. It would hard for them , to vote in next election. Besides I think, it would be harder for parties to nominate 300 clean personalities in next election ( I have doubt. Do they have these number of honest politicans in their party ? )

As I see , next days are very good for us in clean and plane eyes. But with a thinker’s eye , things are not as simple as we think.

So I am with my fingers crossed. I truely believe politicians are much more connected to politics and normal people than any other “star-personality” and every party has at least 1 person in every constituency. It was just a result of bad practice , that parties selected dis honest persons for election. Now , if they try to select real leaders, things would go positive for bangladesh. Remember , we can not clean the garbage overnight whereas we deposited them for almost 35 years. So we should not expect radical change for our own sake. If anything like this happens , then that would be a indicator of some future trouble waiting for us in near future.

After a long time , I am writing again about politics or I say about general people. Lets start it.

First of all congratulation to latest caretaker government. They are doing outstanding jobs so far. People are saying about their staying for infinite time. Well , I am not sure about that. I am actually against this. But I think they should stay unless they prepare a even play field for both parties. And an additional expectation from me. There are some decisions , which wont be taken by any political government in near future. One such is already taken , separation of judicial section. I guess there are some other fields like making tv/radio autonomous , making anti-corruption department a stronger one.

well, now come to a serious point. Joint force is doing some serious action each andLet us not forget Humanity everyday. A heartly thanks to them. But I have some confusion. I have seen, they uprooted some slums. Its sure that , slums are source of many crimes like drugs dealing , arms dealing, prostitution and so on. But we should think that not all people are guilty. If you uproot so many people overnight, where would they go ? They don’t have the least preparation to leave that house. So they have to just live under open-wide sky, in this shivering cold.

Who is government ?

Government is like our parents. They take care of us. They are our guardian. These people live in a slum , can’t live upto the mark. Of course Government has some liabilities about this. May be up rooting them , make some govt. space empty and removal of some corruption. But won’t we think about these helpless, poor people ? if we can’t give them any place to live, then its our failure. Because , we gave them the chance to live in that illegal slum. Now without notice or any rehabilitation we are kicking their a$$.

Of course , we want a clean country. But we all know , this is not possible over night. So , I think CG should take some time , give those people a suitable alternative and them clean that slum. For the name of well administration, we cant forget humanity.

Pakistan Ruled us for 24 years. Its better to say , they killed us for 24 years. Totally demolished our economical backbone. Dare to change our official mother language. I can write pages after pages about those injustices. I want to ensure you that , I wont do that 🙂

lets come to the point. Since my childhood, I have seen , many people around me said that, “I am die hard fan of Pakistan cricket team” or stuffs like that. After a certain age , somethings started to strike inside my mind. Pakistan made so many injustices for years. they killed 1 million people of our country , they raped our sisters, they killed our think tanks, over all they tried totally to destroy us. In world history , many autocrats and other rulers , were sorry for their deeds[ though they didn’t kill 1 million people , hardly 100-200 people] . But pakistanis are strange. They never thought of saying sorry. In fact , once in a conference , Benzir Bhutto’s Secretary advised her to tell sorry for their ( pakistan) work. But she didn’t agree to do that. It’s very clear that , they are not willing to say sorry since they find anything bad in it.

Still there’s a cold relation between many countries after officially saying sorry in similar cases. But we are so noble , we don’t have any complain though pakistanis didn’t say sorry. Many people told me , not to mix up politics and sports. Supporting pakistan cricket team does not indicate you like pakistan. Frankly speaking , I have heard very few dumb words like this ! Supporting a team means , you have the support for whole nationality since those 11 players are representative for whole nation. Even I think , an Indian can support pakistan if he wants , but a Bangladeshi can’t.

Some people think , opposing pakistan means , you have to support India. But why that ? you can support anyone. Even you can support uganda [ if that country plays cricket] , but why them ?

Why we are so root less ? Why we are so oblivious ? How could we forget those sacrifices made by freedom fighters ?

Well , at the end , I want to finish it with a famous logic ( in fact a question) asked by my friend. Some people said (like nizami said in interview), after 30 years of liberation , its’s meaningless to find them. we should forgive them. For them , my question is , “suppose someone raped your sister , would you be able to forgive him after 30 years of that rape ?”

If your answer is Yes , then you can support pakistan surely !

After watching last couple of days activities in news , this question is strongly striking me inside my head.

Culture is such a thing which is transforming continuously with the attitude and activities of people living a certain land. Like we have culture of music, art, entertaining guest and other many positive things. But i think that , very slowly some real bad things penetrating in our culture. What are those ?

Like, corruption. Its true that we have corruption for years , but TIB report is strongly saying that day by day we are becoming irresistible in corruption. Now , I can say , as a nation we are really at some higher stage of corruption.

Well, corruption is not the point for which I am writing this blog. The point is crossfire.

About crossfire , my view always uni directional. I don’t think its a healthy symptom that we are killing people without judgement. This is what should not happen in a democratic moderate country. Many may disagree with us . But still I don’t think its a good sign. And beside that , I think its an intentional killing. My only question is why a single fundamentalist was not killed in last 5 years ?

All of us have some hope about care taker government. We all think that , days will be changed in times of care taker government. I thought , at least , in times of care taker government , there will be no “cross fire” . But alas, I was wrong. Police and Rab are happily killing people. I think not only me but also many people don’t want to see care taker govt. in this form. Even one of the advisers also said in the same way.

I am afraid , this cross fire culture is going to be well established in our life. This is not what we want. Even those established this “crime” , previous govt. , may suffer with this. If power is changed , then there is no reason to think that , new power monster would show mercy. The ultimate loss is to our humanity and specially to our culture.

I think , we don’t like to be introduced as a “savage” nation.

People all around the world may be sensing a wind of change. A wind that changes the globe.

yes, I am talking about latest defeat of Republicans in US Congress Election. People all over the world are really threaten by this conservative republicans. They are forcing everywhere in name of establishing peace. It’s our bad luck that we have to learn about peace from such a person. I agree that , by nation, Americans always want to rule the whole world. It’s their ill mentality. But all Americans surely don’t want it in the same way. I support democrats because , first of all , whatever happens,I am a die hard fan of democracy. and secondly , they are more liberal than those republicans.

You can ask me “Why you are so happy that Republicans are drowning under 6 feet water ?”

yes , of course I have reason behind that. I don’t like US policy in our country. I don’t like political parties licking their legs all the time. I don’t like them to advise us all the time. We may be inferior nation , may be under developed country. But we have sovereignty. I don’t like US ambassador threaten us every time. I think policies would change in turn of democrats. They will show us a minimum respect. a less interference in our internal matters. May be I am wrong. Maybe nothing will change , but I am just optimistic !

Well , I think , things are going to be changed. Wind of change starts to flow over the world.Cross your finger and hope for the best !

I always admit that I am old fashioned man. The word fashion is applicable in both sense. Those who has seen me can verify this. I always wear very normal pant [ even I don’t like Jeans that too much] and most of the time normal t-shirt or full sleeve shirt. Not only according to dress , i am a man of old fashion in thinking also.

Why I am telling this ?

Because, I have heard something very progressive. What is that ? Well , make yourself a little steady before hearing those words [ if you are old fashioned like me !!]. Someone told me that , after so many years of liberation, it’s meaningless to discuss about Pakistan collaborator Jamat-E-Islami i mean what they did in 71. Another man also told that , 71 isLIberation war..nothing but past ? past , it’s finished. Why we should talk about that ? Lets move forward. Yes , we should move foroward , why not ? We will move forward by kicking our nation’s ass. By throwing our freedom fighter’s sacrifice to dustbin. Why we should bother about that ? They are so damn old man . They are ancient , They are part of history.Another

man told me , after sometime , there will be no war criminals in jamat-e-islami [ as after some 20-30 years after no razakars wont be alive]. then why should we hate them ?

Again the first man argued , after 71 , to present , there are many women raped by AL/BNP supporter. Then why we should look at only Jamat for their deed?

Just one thing to say from me. Watch my last posted video in blog from youtube. At very last , you would see that , Jamat-Ameer Niazmi told that “after so many years of liberation, it’s not an issue”

do you find any analogy ?

I have nothing to say. Answear is in your hand.

Currently there are some hot cake events in country.

First of all , the long expected dialouge between AL and BNP. People all over the country is very much hopeful about this. well, I am not out of them. But truly speaking , I cant find any light here but all darkness. BNP surely wont change both CEC and caretaker head. AL wont take this positively. So I guess , as a result , we are going to get some indefinite strike and closure in near future. Suppose , BNP changes both of them. will AL take that cordially ? So far I know , AL claimed all 3 other ECs as BNP person and demanded their departure. BNP wont make this surely. So the result is same.  So , cross you r finger.Coming days are exciting !!

Load Shedding  is something I am tired of. Today when I am writing this blog, electricity condition is worst ! According to last news , the last active large power plant ghorashal tripped. So the load demanded and supplied has  a mammoth difference. In coming days, There is no chance of improvement in electricity condition. And the funniest part is , yesterday I was watching BTV news. They broad-casted a news where PM Khaleda Zia claimed in a public meeting that there is no problem in electricity sector. Those angry men for electricity are not normal people, they are driven by AL for political benifit.

Only GOD knows , how many strange words are left for us from this ignorant politicians!

Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez said Saturday that US President George W. Bush may be seeking to kill him for calling him “the devil” at the United Nations.

“Some worried friends over there have called me (to say) that because I called him the devil they have condemned me to death,” Chavez said without elaborating further on his sources.

“But they won’t kill me. I have faith in life,” he said. “I know how to take care of myself and the Lord will protect me and you all will protect me,” he told a cheering crowd in eastern Venezuela where he was visiting a group of state-funded agricultural cooperatives.

Chavez’s incendiary remarks Wednesday against Bush have elicited a sharp backlash.
